Workshop:  Students will be lead though a 20 min warm up and then a short across the floor technique exercises. 

 

Solo:  Students will perform a 1-2 min solo in any dance style.  Students should choose a dance that best demonstrates their passion and ability for dance.  Students must bring there own music which can be in CD or MP3 format.

 

Interview:  The interview will consist of questions that are designed to give prospective students a chance to explain their interest, motivation and dedication to Iona’s Dance Program.  This interview will also give the prospective student a chance to ask questions about the practical or theoretical components of the program

 

Female Attire:  Female dancers are asked to wear a black body suit with black footless tights, leggings or shorts.  Jazz shoes, ballet shoes, foot paws or bare feet are acceptable.  Hair should be pulled back in a neat ponytail.

 

Male Attire:  Male dancers are asked to wear a Black solid coloured T-shirt and black footless tights or shorts.  Jazz shoes, ballet shoes, foot paws or bare feet are acceptable.
